Learn how to upload your items and link them correctly to PETRONAS material data.
Step-by-Step Product Upload
Log into the platform dashboard and click on the Products tab.
Click the Add New Product button to open the Product Details page.
Search for your specific product using its Product Description or Product Code (BIN Number).
Click Select on the matching item. The system will automatically pre-fill the Category, Material Name, and Product Barcode fields.
Fill out the remaining fields across Steps 2 through 5 (such as packaging type, warehouse stock quantities, and package weight). Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.
Enter your Selling Price inclusive of tax. If you offer volume discounts, set the quantity threshold and corresponding price for each Wholesale Price tier.
You can insert the shipping fee up to 3% of the unit price. This is to ensure that shipping rates charged are within acceptable limits. Please read more about our Shipping Fee and International Orders policy before completing this step.
Click Submit. If the form is complete, you will return to your Product Listing page.
Once you have filled in all the product information and clicked submit, you will be automatically directed to the Upload Image page.
Every product submitted on the platform goes through a quality check stage. All newly uploaded products will undergo an internal review by the Borong team before officially going live on the platform. To help speed up the approval process, check out our pre-submission checklist first.
Pre-Submission Checklist
To ensure your product passes our review smoothly without any issues, please double-check these key pointers before hitting submit:
- High-Quality Images: Ensure your uploaded photos are clear, well-lit, and accurately showcase your product.
- Accurate Description: Double-check that your product description is correct, detailed, and free from spelling or grammatical errors.
- Correct Tagging (SWEC & Material BIN): Ensure your item is tagged under the correct SWEC category and Material BIN so users can find your product easily.
- Competitive Pricing: Ensure your listed price is accurate and competitive.
Once your product is approved, it will move from the Pending tab to the Active list of products.
Competitive Pricing Insights
- What it is: You can explore the platform's public catalog to view general listing prices, product images, and titles. This gives you a clear view of the overall marketplace to assist with your market analysis.
- Why it matters: Browsing the catalog allows you to benchmark your listings against marketplace trends and optimize your pricing or naming conventions. Additionally, you can search for items that are not currently available on Borong to identify supply gaps and list in-demand products that users are looking for.
- Privacy Controls: To maintain a fair and private ecosystem, all supplier identities within the catalog search remain completely hidden. You will only see the product data and pricing trends to help you stay competitive.
